I'm Jos Coufreur — an award-winning artist with a deep obsession with colour, movement, and the stories that live in everyday subjects.
My work is large, bold, and unapologetically vibrant. Whether I'm painting a portrait, an animal, a cityscape, or a sweeping landscape, I paint with freedom — letting the brush move instinctively and the colour speak for itself.
My journey has taken me from Wollongong, Australia, to the Netherlands as a teenager, then 26 years in New Zealand with my wife and four children. I'm now based near Kirup, south of Perth, Western Australia, and every place I've called home has left its mark on how I see and paint the world.
I also take on commissions — if you'd love a portrait of your children, your pet, or a place that means something to you, I'd be honoured to bring it to life.
